DMCA / Copyright Disputes

Aristotto respects the intellectual property rights of others and responds expeditiously to substantially compliant copyright notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

This process addresses claims that material available through Aristotto infringes copyright. It does not turn every trademark, privacy, likeness or other rights dispute into a DMCA copyright claim. Send general account, subscription and product-support questions through the ordinary support channels rather than the copyright agent.

Do not submit false notices or counter-notices. Knowingly material misrepresentations about infringement or removal by mistake or misidentification can have legal consequences.

Safety and intimate-image reports

Copyright notices are separate from reports of child-safety violations, non-consensual intimate imagery, or other harmful content. For those concerns, use the content report control or contact support@aristotto.ai; the Terms of Use describe the removal-request and review process. You do not need to own copyright to report content affecting you. Identify the content’s location instead of attaching suspected child sexual abuse material.

Send copyright notices and counter-notices to:

If you own the relevant copyright or are authorized to act for its owner, send the agent a written notice containing:

1. Your physical or electronic signature as the owner or authorized representative.

2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, or a representative list when one notice concerns multiple works at one online location.

3. Identification of the material you claim infringes copyright and enough information to locate it, including the specific service URL or identifier.

4. Contact information sufficient to reach you, including mailing address, telephone and email where available.

5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or law.

6. A statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner of the allegedly infringed exclusive right.

You may identify a different email address for the affected user to contact you about the claim. This additional address is optional and does not replace the contact information needed to reach you.

We assess notices and may request information needed to complete them. We act expeditiously on substantially compliant notices, including removing or disabling access to identified material, and promptly notify the affected user.

We may provide the affected user with the claimant's supplied email address so they can respond to the allegations. Do not include unrelated sensitive information in a submission.

A removal or restriction in response to a copyright notice does not itself determine who owns the work or whether the disputed use is ultimately infringing. A copyright counter-notice does not automatically remove a separate restriction imposed for a safety, Community Guidelines or other independent lawful reason.

If material you submitted was removed or disabled because of a copyright notice and you believe this resulted from mistake or misidentification, you may send the agent a written counter-notice containing:

1. Your physical or electronic signature.

2. Identification of the removed material and its location before access was removed or disabled.

3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith the removal or disabling resulted from mistake or misidentification.

4. Your name, mailing address and telephone number; your consent to jurisdiction of the federal district court for the district containing your address, or, if your address is outside the United States, a district where Aristotto may be found; and your agreement to accept service of process from the claimant or its agent.

We promptly forward a qualifying counter-notice, including the supplied contact information, to the original claimant and inform them of the intended restoration after ten business days.

Material is restored no earlier than ten and no later than fourteen business days following receipt of the counter-notice unless our designated agent first receives notice of qualifying legal action to restrain the disputed activity. Certain Copyright Claims Board proceedings can affect this process under the applicable statutory conditions.

Restoration is not an immediate guarantee. A separate safety or Community Guidelines restriction follows its separate process, and independent lawful restrictions can still apply.

In appropriate circumstances, Aristotto terminates repeat infringers under a reasonably implemented policy. Copyright-related restrictions are assessed separately from restrictions for other Community Guidelines violations.

Do not evade account restrictions through another account. Account enforcement, subscriptions and credits remain subject to the Terms and rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
